Olga Merediz is the effervesent and slightly mad, Madame Xenia, a constantly intrusive clairvoyant who lives in the same apartment building as June and Childie. Merediz functions as the "nutty neighbor/nutty friend" comic relief comedies depend on. - Curtain Up CT

Ms. Merediz enlivens her character with a sharp flourish, even if you wonder what play she wandered in from. - Hartford Courant

Olga Merediz offers nice contrast as the exotic Madame Xenia, the psychic who lives downstairs from the couple. - New Haven Register

Olga Merediz sings on Mac Gollehan's newest jazz CD: Oddyssey of Nostalgia

Olga Merediz sings Two Sleepy People and Gloomy Sunday on Mac Gollenhon's new best selling jazz CD: Oddyssey of Nostalgia. Available at Amazon.

Review by George Fendel:
Trumpet-trombone player Mac Gollehon displays considerable versatility on his latest release. As the album title indicates, the tunes chosen here represent a nostalgic journey of songs form the past. As an example, three of them, "Brother Can You Spare A Dime", "Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen", and "Gloomy Sunday" are songs associated with the Great Depression. Other tunes from a bygone era include Artie Shaw's rarely heard "Nightmare"; Hoagy Carmichael's "Two Sleepy People" and Harold Arlen's "Over The Rainbow." There's even a rockin' Bessie Smith thing called "Dirtynogooder Blues." Several songs are sung by Olga Merediz who accounts for herself quite admirably. Gollehon is a player who seems to have "one foot in the blues" and is visited here by sympathetic cats like Melvin Sparks, guitar; Ronnie Cuber, baritone saxophone; and Bill Easley, clarinet and alto saxophone. Suffice to say, this is something of a potpourri of nostalgia, and definitely has some good moments. American Showplace Music; 2011; 45:18
